Why Use a Mechanical Broadhead?
The two main reasons bowhunters favor mechanical broadheads are for their large cutting diameters and accuracy. Unlike fixed-blade broadheads, mechanicals have larger cutting diameters due to blades that deploy upon impact. Some mechanical broadheads have up to a 2-inch cutting diameter that results in huge blood trails and entrance and exit holes.
